Traditionally found in the Mediterranean, King Trumpet mushrooms are a gourmet treat often used in Asian culinary applications. Cooked King Trumpets are savory, and crunchy, and have a mild umami flavor similar to abalone.

Best served cooked in any and all ways that your heart desires. King trumpets are commonly used in stir-fries, soups, and stews, added to meatballs or meatloaf, pasta, or served grilled as an addition to barbequed meats. Pairs well with legumes, grains, fish, poultry, scallops, Asian greens, garlic, chives, chilies, thyme, rosemary, peppercorn, soy, vinegar, dry white wines, strong cheese, grapes, and focaccia.
