Meet the owners behind Mushroom Hut Farms

Ten years ago, we decided to start growing mushrooms as an addition to our “backyard” food source. We were already growing multiple gardens and this was just another idea of ours for healthy, unique, clean food for our family and friends. 

The challenges of growing this food source quickly became a household passion. Slowly gathering quality cultures and introducing them to our library of fungi, added “mush” excitement while working in our lab. And while our knowledge of the health benefits greatly expanded, soon after; our hobby turned into a love for mushrooms. 

Fast forwarding a long story, three years ago we decided to build a larger fruiting room on our property and start a business for others to enjoy the beautiful fruits! During our time building this structure, we gave it a nickname, “Mushroom Hut” and voila, our family-run mushroom farm sprung to life! 

Our hope is everyone gets to experience the amazing health benefits and variety of flavours of these gourmet, functional mushrooms 🙂
